About Me

I live in Laramie, Wyoming where the sun shines and the wind blows your worries away just as quickly as they arrive. I work with an incredible group of people at the University of Wyoming who will listen to me talk about carp fishing and pretend they are interested.

I love to garden, fish, mountain bike, ski, and walk my dog Ottis. My husband and I have created a beautiful life together taking long weekend fishing trips to the South or gently floating our drift boat down Wyoming's amazing rivers.

"Worry is but undernourished enthusiasm"

~ Moira Rose ~

Why Worry?

It would be a big lie to tell you that I don't worry. As much as it has been a barrier, it’s also the reason I am the thoughtful leader, teammate, and friend that I am today.  Worry has carved canyons in my heart from hard earned lessons just as much as it’s created the familiar hum of excitement when something new is on the horizon.

I used to worry that I was never going to be the head of a big marketing team until I found the joy in leading digital brand transformations and realizing my talent for UX design. I still fear that the interns I have mentored into capable, brilliant strategists don’t need me anymore, only to realize I get the privelage of watching the version of a life I craved early in my career. I often let the guilt creep in while taking time off, worrying I’m dropping the ball. Then I remember how much better I show up for myself and others when I’m fully recharged after an "emergency" fishing trip.

I believe these powerful moments are no different from Moira Rose's self-reassurance, even when doubt tries to steal her spotlight. While a fictional character played by the late, great Catherine O'Hara, I always admired Moira for her unyielding confidence. She knows exactly who she is and what she was meant to be despite the unfair hands she was dealt. Without this mantra, we cannot experience the joy and fulfillment of what it feels like to succeed when we nurture our worry into something greater.

A Note from Mindy

I've credited the amazing people I've had a chance to work with where possible. I acknowledge that it takes a talented team to bring these projects to life, and for that, I am forever grateful.
